The Rising Star Award goes annually to an emerging leader who devotes time and energy to the Chamber, and who shows leadership qualities for continued and sustained involvement in the organization. This year’s award goes to Ron Schwab, a business broker with Stellar Ventures. Ron is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Auburn who stepped up and chaired sponsorship and fundraising for Bike Auburn, the Chamber-sanctioned team that brought the Amgen Tour to Auburn. Ron and his team exceeded their goal, resulting in surplus funds that will be used for “endurance” business promotion in the year to come.
